Often in partnership with Devel Creatives, Devel Edits has proactively supported its authors with book promotions and live appearances. 

As part of his voluntary work with the Friends of Chorley Library, John organised all 24 performers for the Writers' Group Showcase in June 2025 at Chorley Library. This included appearances by Gordon Zola, Phil Baker and many other creative writers, poets and songwriters.
